About the Role:
In the role of Fibreglass (FRP) Composite Technician you will be expected to take the raw materials through a multistage process to produce finished moulds, ready for cutting and trimming. Working as part of a small team of 4-5 people.
Core Responsibilities:
- FRP hand lay-up laminating, including operation of resin spray system.
- Grit application.
- Cutting and preparing raw materials and preparing workstation as needed.
- Top coating finished moulds as required.
- Working in the dry cutting and trimming shed if required.
- Cleaning and packing products for dispatch.
- Being aware of supplies and equipment and advising when stock levels become low.
- Working to deadlines and meet targets in both a team and autonomously.
- Be reliable, punctual, and honest.
- Have attention to detail and provide high quality workmanship.
- Report directly to the Production Manager.
- Ensure that all occupational health and safety measures and directives are followed.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous fibreglass experience is advantageous but not necessary, full training will be provided on the job.
- Ability to work in a small team environment is essential.
